Due to increasing COVID numbers in St. Lawrence County, The Board of Trustees has put into place the following policy for patrons – (Effective 9/15/2021)
In the spirit of protecting library visitors, volunteers, and staff, the Ogdensburg Public Library has modified the Patron Behavior Policy to mitigate the transmission of Covid-19 within the library. Modifications include:
All visitors over the age of two must wear a properly fitting mask fully covering their mouth and nose at all times during their visit to the library.
Individuals unable or unwilling to wear a properly fitting mask for any reason for the duration of their visit will be provided alternate accommodations including:
Curbside/front door pickup of library materials.
Digital content via the library’s Overdrive service (available 24/7).
Wi-fi connectivity on the front porch (available 24/7).
In-building visits, including computers, printing, copying, faxing, and reference questions, will be limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes per day.
Staff assistance will be limited to ten (10) minutes from a distance of six (6) feet or greater, or from behind the circulation desk.
We thank all visitors for their cooperation as we strive to follow CDC and NYS guidelines for public libraries.
Policy modifications approved by the Board of Trustees on September 14, 2021.
