Coming to Ogdensburg Public Library September 2024

Good Afternoon,
The library is ready for back to school with fashionable crafts, like tie dye and backpack tags. We will also be offering recycling themed take home crafts. We hope to see everyone this fall!

Library Hours
Mondays and 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Wednesdays 11:30 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday 9:30 – 1:00 pm

Bookstore Hours
Wednesdays 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Thursdays and Fridays 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Closed Monday September 2 for Labor Day. Music and Movement ages 18 moths to 5 years, A Preschool Movement class for socialization and learning! Tuesdays at 11 am. Story Time Ages 2-5 Stories, songs, crafts and activities. Thursdays at 11 am. Take home crafts 3 and up reusing and recycling crafts available for pickup! Monday through Saturday, while supplies last. Backpack Tags Craft. Make a tag to hang on your backpack. Ages: 5 and up. Tie Dye Ages 5 and up. Bring your own shirt to dye in library park. Saturday, September 18 at 5 pm. Lego Play 5 and up complete the monthly Lego Challenge. September 25 at 5 pm.

Description: Come meet Valerie Patterson and discuss her art exhibition.

Day: September 4-26
Time: Monday-Saturday, during business hours
Location: Auditorium
Description: The theme of the exhibit will be “Place”. Patterson states: “Each of my paintings creates a place, a location that I implore you to emotionally enter. These are highly representational, narrative, occasionally surreal, works that tell tales, ask questions, inspire thought and evoke responses. Place is introduced as site, memory or state of mind, an experience, people, an event, an entrance or position, a time or history, a region where ghosts reside.
