Yes.  The library does take donations of money and items.  If you would like to make a monetary donation you may make checks out to the: Ogdensburg Public Library

Please make a note in your note line that it is a donation and if there are any restrictions (i.e. – for books, for programs, etc)

If you would like to bring in items for the book sale or the collection, please follow these guidelines. 

Items for the collection:

Should be in new or nearly new condition.  If we already have the item or do not think it would circulate we reserve the right to put items in the book sale.  If you would like the item back in this case please specify that you would like it to be returned.

Items for the book sale that we DO NOT take are: 

Text books, VHSs, damaged (i.e. without covers or with pages ripped or stained, items that smell musty, are moldy or mildewed), Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, and  Encyclopedias.  We will ask you to take these items back with you.

Donations of books, DVD’s, or other items or money is not accepted in place of fines, fees, lost or stolen items unless previously cleared by the Director of the library, Penny Kerfien.
