DRI Input at the Library

Do you want to have a say in how the DRI money is proportioned?

Come into the library until August 6 and make your voice heard.
Weigh in about what Public Project Priorites you would like.
Design Guidelines –
Development of a comprehensive design guide that establishes architectural, signage, lighting, and landscape standards for downtown projects. The guidelines will ensure long-term consistency, encourage context-sensitive design, and preserve Ogdensburg’s unique historic character.
Streetscape Enhancements – Comprehensive upgrades to sidewalks, lighting, crosswalks, landscape, benches, and pedestrian infrastructure to enhance walkability, accessibility, and safety. Creating an attractive and welcoming public realm that supports downtown events, outdoor dining and retail foot traffic.
Small Project Fund – Competitive small-grant program to support building and business owners with facade restorations, signage, upgrades, accessibility improvements, lighting and storefront activation.

What Streetscape Priorites would you like focused on?
Landscape & Green Infrastructure – Improvements could include street trees, planting, rain gardens or other vegetation.
Multi-Modal Accommodations – Improvements include providing space for bicycles within the streetscape.
Pedestrian Experience – Improvements could include site furnishings like benches, bike racks, planters or other amenities to enhance the character and improve comfort for people.
Support Business Activity – Improvements include providing space for business activities to occur on the sidewalk and could include seating for cafes, space for display of good or other improvements.
