Purpose:  Meeting rooms are available free of charge to all authorized users. Authorized users are educational, civic and cultural organizations. Meeting rooms consist of the auditorium, conference room and local history room.

Article 1:  Reservations

  1. Reservations, on a first-come, first-served basis, must be made with library staff.Ā Ā Ā 

Library events do take precedence.

1.2 All organizations requesting space must complete a meeting facilities use form.

      The Executive Director will review, confirm, reply and approve or deny request.

  1. The Executive Director will reply to request in five (5) business days.

Article 2: Guidelines for Use

  • The Library reserves the right to limit the frequency of meetings to insure the widest possible opportunity of use for the meeting facilities by as many community organizations as possible.
    • The Library reserves the right to deny organizations the use of meeting facilities if they fail to follow guidelines.
    • Meeting rooms are available only during the normal operating hours of the library. Meetings must terminate 15 minutes prior to the posted closing time of the Library.
    • All meetings must be free and open to the public. Ā Admission is free to the event and users may charge for materials.
    • Neither the name nor the address of the Library may be used as the sponsor, official name, address or headquarters of an organization using the meeting facilities.
    • The Library is not responsible for equipment, supplies materials, or other property owned by organizations using meeting facilities.
    • Light refreshments may be served. Ā Alcoholic beverages require a permit obtained by the meeting room user.
    • Any additional furniture to be brought in to the library, needs to be approved by the Executive Director.
    • Each group is responsible for cleaning up after use, returning moved furniture to its original location, and for the replacement of lost or damaged equipment.
