A message from the Board Chair – Michelle McLagan –
The Ogdensburg Public Library Board of Trustees wishes to thank the residents of the Ogdensburg School District for voting YES to support our public library.
We thank every single person who helped us get the message out regarding the value the library brings to the City of Ogdensburg and surrounding community. We thank those who questioned us, who debated with us, and who helped open the lines of communication so our residents could have an open, honest discussion about the past and future success of the Ogdensburg Public Library.
We also thank our Friends of the Ogdensburg Public Library for their advocacy and financial support, and our library staff for the hard work they do every single day to provide library materials, programs, and services to patrons both inside and outside of the library building.
And finally, we thank the voters who took time from their busy lives to go vote – whether voting yes or no, we are glad people had the opportunity to weigh in on the topic of sustainable funding for the Ogdensburg Public Library. Without our community’s support, we would not have the very valuable library resource we have in the City of Ogdensburg.
The Library Board of Trustees, in conjunction with library staff, will be working over the next few months on the 2022 operating budget and plan of service. As always, we are open to ideas and suggestions.
