What Happened at the Grand Opening of the Outdoor Lift
First of all, the full reveal of Joann Ott and Barb Bromley’s masterpiece! Followed by a quick shot of the crowd assembling for the grand opening! Then Jill Stevenson from NRCIL presented Penny and the Library with the Kevin Mather Barrier Buster Award for working tirelessly to restore the accessibility access to the building. We followed up with the ribbon cutting ceremony where our big scary scissors decided to fall short. Luckily. we had former teacher Lin Griffin in the crowd who provided us with scissors to save the day! Rounding off experience with seeing our new Barn quilt hanging in pride of place and some refreshments! Thank you again to Northern New York Community Foundation, Assemblyman Scott Gray, DAR – Swe Kat Si chapter and their “Give a Lift” donations, Friends of Ogdensburg Public Library, private donors and the community.
