Coming Ogdensburg Public Library April 2025

Good Afternoon,
This April the library will host an Egg Hunt on the 19th. Eggs will be hidden all around library park for children to find. On April 1st we will be having a cooking class for those interesting in learning how to make a cake pop out of an onion. Music and Movement as well as Story Time will continue all month.

Take Home Crafts
Day and Time: Available for pickup during library hours.
Location: Ogdensburg Public library, pick up at the front desk
Description: A new craft to pick up and finish at home each week.

Music and Movement
Day: Tuesdays
Time: 11:00 am

Description: A preschool movement and socialization class. Jump your jiggles out and wiggle your waggles away with music, instruments and sensory play.
Ages 18 months – 4 years

Story Time
Day: Thursdays
Time: 11:00 am
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Stories, activities and crafts for young children. Socialize, gain early literacy skills and learn to love books during this preschool program.
Ages 2-5

Cooking Class – Onion cake pops
Day: April 1
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Make delicious treats with pearl onions and melted chocolate.
Ages:7 and up

Slow Flow Teen Yoga
Day: April 9
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: Auditorium
Price: $10 per person
Description: Join Kim Halpin’s 3-week class (Mar 26 – Apr 9) from 4 pm to 5 pm. This class is aimed toward 10-18 year olds, but parents are encouraged to attend as well. It is $10 per person. Bring a yoga mat and water!

Teen Board Game Night – Table Top Tetris
Day: April 16

Description: Socialize during our new game night!
Ages: 11 and up

Ellen McCrea – Fiber Arts Demonstration
Day: April 17
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Location: Auditorium
Description: Ellen McCrea will be at the Ogdensburg Public Library on APril 17th from 1pm to 3 pm to do a fiber arts demonstration. Ellen is a lifelong knitting enthusiast who is skilled with most types of garments. She is versed in other aspects of yarn, including spinning (turning raw material into thread). She has a particular passion for heritage textiles & methods that are at risk of being lost to history. She demonstrates annually in at least 3 different locales, including the Hammond Museum.

Classical Inkings Book Club
Day: April 16
Time: 4:15 pm to 5:45 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library Conference room
Description: Join us as we read and discuss classics, classical literature, history, archeology, sciences, and linguistics. We will look at both classics and the modern works derived from them. This month’s book club is the first half of A Swim in the Pond in the Rain by George Saunders.

Egg Hunt

Library Lego Time
Day: April 23
Time: 5:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Complete a challenge or just experiment on your own with Lego bricks.
Ages: 5-12
