Level 1- Precautionary Health Measures
Add additional cleaning supplies; perform additional routine cleaning of high touch points; promote healthy habits.
Level 2 – Modified or Reduction in Operating Hours or Services
Create social distancing standards; reduce or suspend services (library programming, community room use, holds processing); coordinate response among North Country Library System, authorities, schools, and city.
Level 3 – Closure
Complete closure of Ogdensburg Public Library, no programming or events, no open hours, no events in the Community Room. Cause includes local, county, state, or federal recommendations, or recommendations from recognized library organizations such as NYLA or ALA; public visitation is too low to warrant keeping the building open, staff levels fall below minimum due to illness or quarantine; overdue fines will be forgiven, due dates or renewal periods extended, holds and checkout limits increased; alerts will be communicated to the public via media and signage; coordinate response among authorities.
