Coming to the Ogdensburg Public Library in April 2024

Good Afternoon,

      This April we are will be focusing in on the Eclipse. The Library will have educational and craft programs all week leading up to the big event. Remember to protect your eyes!

Wednesdays 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Programs
Take Home Crafts
Day and Time: Available for pickup during library hours.
Location: Ogdensburg Public library, pick up at the front desk
Description: A new craft to pick up and finish at home each week.

Music and Movement
Day: Tuesdays
Time: 11:00 am
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: A preschool movement and socialization class. Jump your jiggles out and wiggle your waggles away with music, instruments and sensory play.
Ages 18 months – 4 years

Story Time
Day: Thursdays
Time: 11:00 am
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Stories, activities and crafts for young children. Socialize, gain early literacy skills and learn to love books during this preschool program. A special eclipse Story time will take place on April 4th.
Ages 2-6

Egg Hunt
Day: April 1
Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Egg Hunt followed by Easter activities.
Ages: 3 and up.

Craft – Eclipse Glasses Holder
Day: April 2
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Learn to make a shield to place around your eclipse glasses to protect your and your family’s eyes.
Ages: 2 and up (with parental assistance)

Craft – Eclipse Shirt
Day: April 3
Time: 5:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Use glow in the dark paint to make your very own eclipse shirt. Only size small male available, feel free to bring your own dark colored t-shirt.
Ages: All Ages

Craft – Constellations
Day: April 5
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Learn about and make your own constellations.
Ages: 5 and up.

Craft – Paper Beads
Day: April 17
Time: 5:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Learn to make paper beads and complete a bracelet.
Ages: 9 and up.

Lego Play
Day: April 24
Time: 5:00 pm
Location: Ogdensburg Public Library
Description: Complete a challenge or just experiment on your own with Lego bricks and friends.
Ages: 6 and up.

Fishing Gear Checkout

The library loans out fishing gear. Fishing equipment can be checked out by children and adults (those 16 years and older must have a fishing license) You can keep fishing items for up to one week.
