BOO! We are coming into October, the spookiest month of the year! It is also the anniversary of the library’s reopening after the 1921 fire. The library has a lot going on to celebrate both! We have take home and in house Halloween crafts and a Halloween party for kids as well as historical talks and concerts for adults.
The library will be celebrating the 100-year anniversary of reopening after the fire of 1921. Library services in Ogdensburg started in 1828 and moved to its current location in 1895. A remodel of the building between 1921-1922 resulted in the fire that destroyed most of the library interior. We are looking for cards, art or anything else children want to make in appreciation of the library. We will display these items during National Friends of the Library Week in October. If you are interested in sending us a card, please drop it of at the library or mail it to;
